Recipe(tried): Dutch Baby

This recipe is from one of the shows from the Food TV Network. I just can't remember which show. This is an extremely easy recipe and is loved by all I have served it to. It resembles a large eggy pancake and it is topped with butter and powdered sugar.

Dutch Baby

4 Tbsp. butter
3 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
butter
1 lemon's juice (optional)
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut up first butter and place in cast iron dutch oven or skillet without lid on. Place in hot oven. Place eggs in blender until foamy. Add milk, flour, salt and vanilla. Blend until combined. When butter has fully melted in skillet, remove and swirl butter to coat pan. Quickly pour in batter and put back in oven. Bake 25 minutes or until puffed and lightly browned. Remove from oven, cut in wedges and place on serving plates. Put on each a pat of butter, a sprinkle of lemon juice (optional), and powdered sugar. Serve immediately. Serves 4 or a very hungry 2.
