EASY PICKIN' CHICKEN PIE
FOR THE FILLING:
3 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 1/3 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 (10 1/4 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon pepper
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease shallow 2-quart baking dish.
Spread chicken and vegetables evenly in bottom of prepared baking dish.
In medium bowl, combine undiluted soup, broth and pepper; mix well. Pour evenly over chicken mixture.
In another medium bowl, combine flour and milk; stir until smooth. Add butter; stir just until blended. Pour over chicken mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
