Recipe: Frosty Snowmen
Holidays, Celebrations
Clear Reynolds Plastic Wrap
Reynolds Color Plastic Wrap
1 bag (about 3 oz.) microwave popcorn, popped
1 package (10 oz.) regular marshmallows
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups vanilla ready-to-spread frosting, divided
6 chenille stems
Invisible or clear tape
Candy coated chocolate candies, multiple colors
Pour popcorn into extra large mixing bowl, discarding unpopped kernels. Microwave marshmallows and butter on HIGH power 1 to 2 minutes in large bowl; stir. Microwave on HIGH power 30 to 60 seconds longer; stir until smooth. Pour over popcorn; stir until well coated.
Generously spray hands with nonstick spray. Shape popcorn into five 3-inch balls and five 2-inch balls. Stack a 3-inch ball and a 2-inch ball to form each snowman.
Microwave 1/2 cup frosting on HIGH power about 20 seconds until melted. Drizzle and spread frosting over two snowmen. Press on candy coated chocolate candies to make eyes and buttons. Cut two candies in half; press on to form noses and mouths. Repeat to make remaining snowmen. Let stand 30 minutes or until hardened.
Wrap each snowman in a 10-inch sheet of clear plastic wrap, overlapping on back; press to secure.
Center a chenille stem on a 12-inch sheet of color plastic wrap. Fold plastic wrap over chenille stem; roll into a thin strip. Wrap strip around your finger; gently pull up the center and place on snowman's head to form stocking cap; secure in back with a small piece of invisible tape.
Fold a 6-inch sheet of color plastic wrap into a thin strip. Tie around neck to form scarf; trim ends. Repeat for remaining snowmen.
Makes 6
