GERMAN POT ROAST
1 (6 lb.) beef pot roast
1/4 cup vinegar
1 bay leaf
1 sprig parsley
1 tbsp. sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
Boiling water
2 large onions
6 carrots
4 stalks celery
Sear meat thoroughly in beef suet.
Add vinegar and seasonings, and enough boiling water to almost cover.
When about half done, add vegetables. Cover and cook very slowly until tender.
Makes 6 servings
