Recipe(tried): Greek Lamb Chops

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
First of all it is pretty easy to cook greek especially lamb chops. I was a cook in a greek restaurant and this is how we made ours. First of all you have to make a marinade for the chops. use 2 cups olive oil, third cup oregano, third cup garlic powder, third cup onion powder, third cup black pepper pinch thyme (this is for a large quantity). mix and pour on chops in a container let marinade at least 3 hours. when you cook them you can use a frying pan but a grille is prefered. you are gonna need lemon juice and a nice chardonnay or chablis to cook with. there is an old saying if you wouldn't drink it don't cook with it. place the chops in the skillet on med to med high heat. add lemon juice and wine to skillet. I usually go by sight so im not sure how much maybe 1/4 cup each then cover and let cook on that side for about 5 minutes turn over and repeat. when just about done add more lemon juice and wine.

Greek cooking is basically cooking with lemon juice and wine and greek seasonings which are in the marinade. if you have any questions or would like anymore greek recipes or need a side dish let me know. good luck!
