MARYANN:
Good Sunday Morning & happy new year to you.
I had this recipe in my files but I never made this dish. I hope this is the one you are seeking.
COMES NOW:
GREEN SAUCE FROM CAFE CASA OLE, TEXAS
4 Avacados (Skinned,pitted & mashed).
1 can Rotel tomatoes Original OR Hot style (Juice & All).
1 can (4 oz) diced green chile chiles (Juice & all).
4 oz of cream cheese.
6 to 8 oz of sour cream
1 teas of lemon juice
1 teas of garlic salt
Salt & pepper to your taste
Fresh Cilantro
OPTIONAL:
4 TBSP of milk Or more. Use for thinning consistency of the sauce.
1 or 2 Jalepeno peppers for to make it hot.
Few drops of green food coloring.
Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
Pulse till smooth & creamy.
If you prefer chunky tomatoes in this recipe save a 1/3 rd of the Rotel tomatoes & mix in last.
Best when refridgerated for 6 hours to blend the ingredients. You can place the Avacado pits in the sauce bowl to keep the sauce from turning brown & to prolong the fressness. (END).
MARYANN, if this isn't the recipe I have another close to this one. Good Luck & have a nice day young lady.
