Recipe: Ham and Cheese Soup (using milk and Cheddar cheese)

Soups
HAM AND CHEESE SOUP

2 tbsp finely chopped celery
2 tbsp. grated carrot
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 cups cold milk
1 cup diced ham
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Croutons (for serving)

Saute celery, carrot and onion in butter until tender.

Stir cornstarch into cold milk until blended; stir slowly and constantly into veggies. Heat until thickened and bubbly.

Add ham and stir. Add cheese and stir until melted.

Serve with croutons.
