Recipe: Instant Corn Chowder (using evaporated milk) (Carnation, 1974)

INSTANT CORN CHOWDER

4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 2/3 cups (13 1/2 oz. can) chicken broth
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 (3-4 oz.) package instant mashed potatoes
2 cups (17 oz. can) cream style corn
1 2/3 cups (1 large can) undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
2 thinly sliced frankfurters

Brown bacon in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat.

Add onion. Cook mixture over low heat until onion is soft and golden in color.

Add chicken broth and celery salt. Bring mixture to boil, Remove from heat.

Stir in instant mashed potatoes. Add cream style corn, evaporated milk, and frankfurters. Heat to serving temperature, then pour into warm bowls.
