Hard Boiled Egg Storage Times

Easter eggs that are used in baskets or for egg hunts are safe to eat if they have not been outside the refrigerator for more than 2 hours. Always discard the eggs that have become cracked or dirty. Hard cooked Easter eggs can be safely stored in the refrigerator for 7 to 10 days.

Uses for Hard Boiled Eggs

Chop and stir into tuna, chicken, or ham salad

Slice, chop or crumble and add to lettuce or spinach salad

Chop and add to white sauce; serve over toast

Chop or slice and add to potato or pasta salad

Make deviled eggs

Make egg salad sandwiches

Peel eggs, place whole eggs in glass container, cover with beet juice. Store in refrigerator. After a day or two the whites will turn pink.

Shell and bake whole in a meatloaf (fill the loaf pan with meat mixture halfway place a row of hard boiled eggs lengthwise down the middle, top with remaining meat mixture and bake.
