HAWAIIAN ROLLS
1 (18 oz) package yellow cake mix
2 envelopes yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 cups flour
4 tablespoons melted butter
Combine (dry) cake mix and yeast; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups warm water and salt. Add cake mix mixture to water mixture, then add flour. Mix well and knead lightly. Place in bowl, turn once to grease the top and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until double.
Knead lightly again, pat out and cut for 24 rolls. Place on greased or parchment-lined baking sheets(s). Cover lightly with plastic wrap and let rise until double.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. When brown, brush with melted butter and bake a little longer.
