Recipe: Mexicali Crunch (using cornflakes, corn chips, popcorn, and taco seasoning mix)

8 cups cornflakes
3 cups corn chips, broken
4 cups popcorn
1 cup roasted peanuts
1/2 cup corn syrup, light or dark
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 (1.25 oz.) pkg. Taco seasoning mix
In large roasting pan combine cornflakes, corn chips, popcorn, and peanuts.
In 2 quart saucepan stir corn syrup, margarine, brown sugar and dry taco seasoning mix. Stirring constantly, bring to full boil over medium heat. Pour over cornflake mixture in roasting pan. Toss to coat well.
Bake in 250 degree F oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool, stirring frequently. Store in tightly covered container.
Makes about 14 cups
