Recipe(tried): My Grandmother's Persian Nut Torte

Persian Nut Torte: This is a recipe that was passed down to me by my grandmother, who lived in Wisconsin.

PERSIAN NUT TORTE

Beat for 15 minutes:
5 whole eggs
1 cup sugar

Add:
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together and fold in:
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup grated unsweetened baking chocolate

Pour into 2 ungreased, lined, 9-inch round baking pans

Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes.

FROSTING

Combine and cool:
1/2 cup ground walnuts
1/4 cup boiled milk

CREAM:
1/2 lb. butter

ADD:
Walnut mixture
4 1/2 Tbsp. powdered sugar.
