Recipe(tried): old time chokecherry jam

Preserving - Jams, Jellies
This is the first time I have ever made jam, but I remember the taste of choke cherry jam mom used to make. My husband and I went picking, it was a fun day. Making the jam was time consuming. I think I over boiled it, we used a thermometer and never went up to boiling point mentioned, so I feel we boiled it to long, my mistake. My husband was pleased, although we didn't get that choke taste I was looking forward to. Maybe my taste buds have changed. It certainly will not go to waste.
