Recipe(tried): Onion Rings in Beer Batter

Onion Rings in Beer Batter

Beer and flour.
Specifically 1 bottle of beer to 1 3/4 cups flour.
Mix and allow to rest an hour or more.
Dip the onion rings, shake off the excess, and fry.

Tell the spouse to leave them alone until you can try them. Try different beers for a different taste. Dark beer could get interesting.
