I took this to a 4th of July picnic, and I didn't bring a shred home.
Potato Casserole
1 (2lb.) pkg. "tater tots"
1 pt. sour cream
1 can crm of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 TB dried onions
Salt & pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together in 2 or 3 qt. casserole. Top with extra grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
To take this to a picnic, after baking I empty the casserole into a greased hot crockpot. Now I sprinkle on some of the cheese. I plug in the crockpot until it is time to go. I line my picnic basket with a flannel backed plastic table cloth. I set the crockpot in the basket and pull the table cloth around the crockpot. This really keeps the food hot until serving time. Serve from the crockpot. Because the food is really hot and looks good, you won't have to worry about taking any home again.
