Recipe: Quick Apple Turnovers (using refrigerated crescent roll dough)

QUICK APPLE TURNOVERS

3/4 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
3 apples, peeled and diced
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
FOR THE GLAZE TOPPING:
2 tbsp. warm milk
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; mix with diced apples; set aside.

Separate crescent rolls; place 1 tablespoon of apple mixture in each roll and fold over each side (a diaper fold). Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Combine the ingredients for the glaze topping. Drizzle topping over each roll while still hot.

Makes 16 turnovers
