Recipe: Apple Cranberry Crisp

APPLE CRANBERRY CRISP

3 cups diced, cored green apples
2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
FOR THE TOPPING:
1 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup Mazola Canola Oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon finely grated orange peel

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

Combine apples, cranberries and granulated sugar in prepared pan.

In medium bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, walnuts, oil, cinnamon and orange peel; stir well. Sprinkle topping over apple cranberry mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes, or until fruit is tender when pierced with a knife.

Serve warm.
