Recipe(tried): Rhubarb Strawberry Topping or Sauce

Rhubarb strawberry topping or sauce
-----------------------------------
-- 2 cups sliced rhubarb

-- 1/4 cup water

-- 1/2 cup sugar

-- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole combine rhubarb, water and sugar.

Microwave on full power 5 to 7 minutes or until rhubarb begins to soften and break apart, stirring once or twice.

Add strawberries and stir gently.

Microwave on full power 1 to 2 minutes or until strawberries are warm and start to soften.

Chill.

Serve over angel food cake, ice cream or cheesecake.

Makes 3 cups.
