Rosettes and Beer Rosettes

You need to use rosette irons for these cookies/donuts

Rosettes

3 cups cold water
1 FULL (1 lb.) box cornstarch
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

heat oil to 375
makes approximately 200 to 225
sprinkle with powder sugar to taste or use cinnamon and granulated sugar or cinnamon and brown sugar.

Beer Rosettes

1 flour
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/3 can beer
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg unbeaten

Sift flour before measuring mix milk water sugar salt and egg together stir slowly into flour then beat until smooth with rotary beater or electric beater at medium speed makes about 36 rosettes or tarts
