Recipe: Russian Salad Dressing (2), Thousand Island Salad Dressing Recipe (2) - Re: Chicken recipe

Salads - Salad Dressings
Hi Kat :-) You shouldn't have any problem substituting Thousand Island dressing for the Russian dressing in your recipe. I have included recipes for both (below) so you can see that the two dressings are similar.

Russian salad Dressing

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, vinegar, onion, salt and pepper until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Chilled Russian Salad Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise
3 teaspoons minced onion
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried parsley
3 tablespoons chili sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
