Recipe: Sunday Supper Casserole (ham) (Anchor Hocking, 1976)

SUNDAY SUPPER CASSEROLE

1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 cups finely chopped cooked ham
3 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup shredded sharp process American cheese
2/3 cup finely crushed saltine crackers, about 15
1 1/2 cups milk
Dash pepper

Cook onion in butter or margarine until tender, but not browned.

Combine with all remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into loaf 9x5-inch loaf dish.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven 45 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Makes 6 servings
