Tomato Wheels
4-8 Roma tomatoes (plum) or a big box of cherry tomatoes
1/4 lb thin sliced ham
1/4 lb thin sliced provolone cheese
Slice plum tomatoes into rounds or cherry tomatoes in half. Use a cap or bottle top of about the same size as the tomato slices to cut out rounds of the ham and cheese. Layer tomato, ham and stick a toothpick in it or not.
Cantaloupe and Ham
Wrap cubes of cantaloupe in thin slices of ham and secure the ham with toothpick.
Shrimp Poppers
1/2 lb med to large shrimp (depending on your manual dexterity)
1/2 lb bacon partially cooked (pliable still)
jalapeno slices (from a jar not fresh)
a couple of Tbsp garlic butter melted
Peel, devein and butterfly shrimp. Brush with melted garlic butter. Place a slice of pepper into the butterflied shrimp and close it. Wrap bacon around the shrimp and secure with a toothpick or put several on a skewer. Pop into the broiler for a few minutes until the shrimp pinks up and is done to your taste. Also excellent on the barbie.
