Recipe: Tomatoes au Gratin

TOMATOES AU GRATIN

4 large ripe tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Saute onion in butter till soft.

Layer tomato slices, onions, bread crumbs and cheese, half at a time, in a greased 8x8-inch pan.

Combine sour cream, eggs, and salt and pepper, pour over layers.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes.

Makes 6 servings
