Recipe: Waldorf Salad (with cherries)

Waldorf Salad with Cherries

4-5 c. diced apples
1-2 c. diced celery
1 1/2 c. broken walnut halves (walnuts or pecans are nice)
2 c. cubed mild cheddar cheese
1 c dried cherries
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
3/4 c. whipping cream
Put apples, celery, walnuts, cherries and cheese in large serving bowl. Mix mayonnaise and whipping cream. Mix with other ingredients. Refrigerate to chill.

Note: Raisins or dates can be substituted for the cherries.
