YANKEE GRANOLA
"This granola is great on ice cream or for crumb topping for cakes, pies or baked puddings."
3 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup dry roasted sunflower seeds
3/4 cup slivered almonds
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl mix together the oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds and almonds; set aside.
In a saucepan heat the honey and peanut butter until blended. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Stir the honey mixture in to the dry mixture until well mixed. Spread in the bottom of a large pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes stirring every 5 minutes until evenly browned.
Cool completely and add the raisins.
Makes 5 cups
