Yankee Grits

1 lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. regular breakfast sausage
1 large green pepper, chopped fine
1 large onion chopped; Vidalia or other sweet
onion is preferable
Six servings old fashioned grits, prepared
according to package directions
Butter to taste

Brown and drain sausage. Cook grits with salt, pepper and butter according to package directions. Stir in green pepper and onions. Add browned sausage and cheese and stir until cheese melts. May be served as an entr e or side dish.
