CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM PIE
1 1/2 cups vanilla or chocolate ice cream, softened
2/3 cup cold milk
1 small package instant chocolate pudding mix
3 Nestle crunch bars, coarsely chopped
1 (8-inch) graham cracker crust
GARNISHES:
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip topping (for topping)
1 Nestle crunch candy bar, finely crumbled
Combine ice cream and milk. Beat for about 30 seconds. Add (dry) pudding mix and beat for another 2 minutes.
Stir in the 3 coarsely chopped candy bars. Pour the mixture into the pie crust and freeze until firm, about 6 hours.
TO SERVE:
Place the pie in the refrigerator a couple of hours before serving to soften slightly. Top with Cool Whip and garnish with finely crumbled candy bar
VARIATIONS:
"You can experiment with lots of variations: coffee ice cream and Heath bars; mint chip and chocolate pudding is tasty, with cut up York patties; I even used lemon frozen yogurt and lemon pudding without any candy and topped it with the Cool Whip and a raspberry sauce and that was a big hit too." - Nancy
