Thanks Ann Marie, for sharing the recipe for Kris Kringle cookies, over 5 years ago! I never needed the recipe, but always wondered where my mom got it, as she passed away when I was 17. Buffalo News makes sense as the source, as my family was from Colden.

My recipe is very slightly different - it calls for 5 cups of flour, and the baking temperature is at 425 for 4 - 6 minutes. My mom used vanilla, not anise, perhaps because she either couldn't find anise, or she simply didn't like it. Otherwise, I bet they're the same cookies. The recipe appears to have a very strong Buffalo history, and should, at least, enjoy as much notoriety as the lowly chicken wing!
