hang in there, Jo

Misc.

I admire your courage to face this problem head on. Hopefully, it is just a stage and she will grow out of it. Do you think if you included her in the meal preparation that would help? Maybe she would feel more grown up and eat better. Also, I would suggest she be sent to the bathroom BEFORE meals and just tell her she is not allowed to go during the meal. Then get a conversation going at the end of the meal so that she has sit and let it settle. Hopefully her parents will get her some help, and this will not lead to a serious situation. I had 2 friends in college and one as an adult who went through this, and it is very frightening. I am happy to say they all overcame it and are fine. We wish you well and please keep us informed.
Thinking of you. Becky
