Gosh Jo, maybe she is just home sick. I've got a 4 yr. grandson and he keeps food in his mouth you know the side of his jawl for hours and them spits it out.
His mother said he will have a piece of bacon before going to bed and wake up the next morning and it will still be there.
I don't know what we're going to do with these crazy kids hopefully they will grow out of it. Does she eat between meals? Maybe it is as simple as not being hungry.Hope so.
