Sounds Like A Whole Lot of Understanding Happening Here!

Misc.

Dear Jo,

Sounds like this issue's wrinkles are getting "ironed" for which I am grateful. It's a toughie, no doubt about it.

I always remember a friend's story: She was invited to dine with a coworker and the woman's son one evening. When she arrived, the little boy said something like, "Gee, you sure are fat." My friend just smiled at him and said, "Yeah, and I'm beautiful, too!" He looked her up and down, then said, "Yeah, I guess it's okay -- you can be both!"

His mother was absolutely horrified when he said this, but thanked my friend for her consideration in answering him. Next time she visited, he ran up to her and gave her a big hug and asked her to be his friend.

It's hard being "different" (at least, visibly). I know that so long as Ash has both you and her mother, all will be well.

Everybody's Beautiful!
