I put off what he expected
Misc. What a great topic, Gina.
We've been married 22 years now but I can still remember like it was yesterday all the hints my future husband dropped about how nice it would be to have a home-cooked meal, etc., etc., etc. Even tho I had a brand new degree in home economics, I was pretty green about the actual mechanics of cooking and putting together a meal. I stalled for a good six months before finally inviting him over for a dinner of baked chicken, green bean casserole and pie.
He said he was beginning to doubt if I could cook at all. I answered it was too obvious what he expected.
