The first official meal I made for my husband was also steak, however, even though I cooked while leaving at home w/mom and dad, I never did the shopping. I thought buying a pound of steak for .42 was a great deal and bought a big piece. Very proud of myself, I cooked it for him and it was very tough. When I told him how much it was he laughed himself silly. Appreantly, it wasn't a great deal and you really get what you pay for. He still gives me a hard time. Isn't it a good thing that those times that seem so horrible end up being remember the most fondly?
