Hi, Jill/TX!

Misc.
Hi, Jill, nice to "meet" you! I hope you'll jump in with comments from time to time now.

Can't remember the first thing I cooked for DH. He's actually a much better cook than I am (tho I can bake circles around him). I do remember the first thing he cooked for me - Cinnamon Steak, with a sauce he made up himself on the spot, with just the gentlest hint of cinnamon to make it stand out in my memory. He missed his calling as a saucier - any time I can't hit the right note in a sauce, be it for dressing for potato salad or orange sauce for a Chinese-inspired dish, he's the one I go to, and he always has the answer.

The first thing I baked for DH was a batch of brownies, while we were still in college. I gave them to him when he came to my dorm room. He told me later that when he was going down the elevator to go home, another student in the elevator offered him $10 for the plate of brownies. I guess I had student life working in my favor!
