What a fun topic today!!

Misc.
What a fun topic today!! I'm one of those faithful kitchen linkers that only reads the posts and never contributes, so I feel like I know all of you as if you were my own family!! I couldn't resist today's topic, and I had a few minutes so I had to share my story.

My "boyfriend" at the time had already graduated from college and moved 6 hours away to pursue his career while I completed my final year. We were so "hooked" that one of us would have to travel each weekend to see the other one. Each time my husband to be would make the trech to my domain, I would cook the most elaborate meal and have it waiting on him...because of course... the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.. This hold especially true with my husband

The first meal that I prepared in this fashion was a Cajun Theme. I had Blackened red snapper, Shrimp newburg, dirty rice, and creole zuccini and yellow squash. I had Mardi Gras beads everywhere, and I always had an Ice cold Budweiser waiting on him! Oh, young love!!

To this day, whenever I make a cajun meal those memories come flooding back to each of us!! He still thinks I'm the best cook in the world- even if I serve him Hamburger Helper!!
