New book for vegetarian teens/parents!

Misc.

I just noticed an ad in this week's Science News for a brand new book,
"Vegetables Rock! A Complete Guide for Teenage Vegetarians" by Stephanie
Pierson (Bantam, 1999). I went to Amazon.com and read the reviews - it sounds
perfect for you and your daughter. Apparently it even has lists of vegetarian-
friendly colleges. The author is an advertising copywriter (not a
nutritionist), but was motivated to put together the best info she could find
on nutritional requirements and kid friendly recipes when her own daughter
suddenly announced she was giving up meat. Check it out!
