Barbecued Ribs (like Tony Roma's Carolina Honeys)
1 c ketchup
1 c vinegar
1/2 c molasses
1/2 c honey
1 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp Tabasco pepper sauce
Combine all ingredients in saucepan over high heat. Blend with a whisk until smooth. When it comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered. In 30 to 45 min when it has thickened, remove from heat. If you overcook and make it too thick, add more vinegar coat ribs. Wrap in foil and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours at 300F. Remove from foil, smother ribs with sauce and grill 2 to 4 min on each side.
