Recipe(tried): BBQ Spareribs...Mmmmm....

BBQ Spareribs
This is what I do with those Country Ribs...

4 lbs pork spareribs
water
1 medium onion, quarted
2 cloves garlic

Cut the spareribs into 2 or 3 rib portions. Put ribs in large pot and cover with cold water. Add onion, garlic. I also sprinkle in my favorite seasoning salt...Johnny's chef blend..but any will do. I don't measure but I just give it a few good shakes.

Over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simer about 1 hour or until almost tender. Drain, cover and chill until ready to grill or broil.

You can either take your favorite bottled bbq sauce or use this one:

1 1/2 cups ketchup
3 Tablespoons cider vinegar
2 Tablespoons dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon chili powder

Just mix it all up...spread it all over ribs. Grill or broil aprox. 15-20 minutes, brushing often with the sauce and turning occasionally.

This sounds much more complicated than it is...and trust me it is always delicious!! Have fun!!
