Recipe(tried): Beblach (slow cooked brisket with red wine and lima beans)

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
Olga,

My grandmother and my mother made beblach when they made brisket. They'd put a brisket in a dutch oven to slow cook. Before going in the oven, they'd put about 1 1/2 cups red wine, a package of Mrs. Grass onion soup, about 1/2 cup Ketchup (I know it sounds weird, but it works), about 1/2 cup water and a package of lima beans. The whole thing would cook slowly, sometimes overnight. I've done it in a crock pot successfully. The meat gets tender and delicious and the lima beans absorb the flavors.

Good luck.
