Recipe: Butterscotch Bars (using butterscotch chips)

BUTTERSCOTCH BARS

3/4 cup margarine
1 (1 lb) box brown sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 (12 oz) pkg. butterscotch chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Melt margarine and add brown sugar. Cool.

Add eggs and beat until smooth.

Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in butterscotch chips and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake about 25 minutes. Cut into bars.
