Recipe: Caramel Bars

CARAMEL BARS

1 (16 oz.) box light brown sugar
1 cup margarine, melted
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.

Cream together brown sugar, butter, and eggs.

Add flour, nuts, baking powder, vanilla, and salt to the creamed mixture. Beat well. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool.

Cut into squares. Freeze well.
