Recipe: Church Supper Casserole

CHURCH SUPPER

Brown:
1 lb. Hamburger

While that is cooking put 2 TBSP butter in another good size pot and add:
2 cups potatoes, sliced or cubed
chopped or sliced vegetables :
celery
onion
green pepper
carrots

Saute about 10 minutes. Add:
1 cup of water

Cover and cook another 10 minutes. Add:
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
and the meat mixture

Grease a baking dish and cover the bottom of that with:
1/2 can chow mein noodles (reserve other 1/2 for topping)

Put the meat and vegetable mixture over that, cover, and bake at 350 degrees 20 minutes or so.

Remove from oven and top with:
reserved 1/2 can of chow mein noodles
shredded cheese

Bake uncovered until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes.
