Recipe: Coca Cola Christmas Salad - Thank You

Salads - Fruit, Gelatin
Thank you, Cali for answering my request for the number of ounces in a king-size Coke. Here is the recipe:

COCA COLA CHRISTMAS SALAD

1 (1 lb.) can tart red pitted cherries, undrained
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
2 pkgs. (3 oz each) cherry jello
1 lb. can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 king size (16 oz?) bottle Coca Cola*

Mix cherries, sugar, and water, including the cherry juice; bring to a boil.

Pour hot mixture over cherry jello and stir until dissolved.

Add pineapple with all the juice. Let mix cool slightly.

Pour in the Coca-Cola and chill in mold or flat pan until set.

Cut in squares to serve.

*NOTES: This old recipe was on the back of an envelope and sizes of jello and coke weren't specified. I assume jello is (2) 3 oz. pkgs and the king size coke is 16 oz. I haven't tested it yet. If anyone knows for sure, please share. Thank you.
