Cranberry Ketchup
Makes 1 1/2 pints

2/3 cup water
12 ounces cranberries
2 large onions -- finely chopped
2 cloves garlic -- minced
1 tablespoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup sugar
Combine first six ingredients and cook over low heat until thick and pulpy (20 minutes). Stir in sugar and simmer 15 minutes. Cool 30 minutes, puree, strain and fill glass bottles. Keeps refrigerated up to 2 months.
