Recipe(tried): Cucumber Onion Salad (using mayonnaise and sour cream)

CUCUMBER ONION SALAD

2 to 3 cucumbers
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon white or cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
salt and pepper to taste
dill (optional)

Peel cucumbers lengthwise, leaving 1/2-inch skin between peels. Score with a tines of fork on remaining peel. Slice into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

Mix cucumbers and onion gently with remaining ingredients.

Refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Dill is a lovely addition to this salad for a garnish or added flavor.
