Green Beans Tofu with Black Bean Sauce

1 (12 oz) package extra firm tofu
4 cups green beans -- cut into 2-inch pieces
1/2 onion sliced
1 carrot peeled -- cut in small strips
2 tablespoons peanut oil

SAUCE:
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 tablespoons sherry
1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
2 teaspoons Thai chili paste

Wrap tofu in towel -- place a pan with water in it on top of tofu for 20 minutes, in order to press some water out of tofu, remove cut into small cubes.

Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix ingredients together, set aside.

Stir fry tofu cubes with 2 Tablespoons peanut oil for 5 minutes, add 3 tablespoons of sauce and cook for 2 more minutes. Set aside.

In a wok saute green bean, onion and carrot for 5-7 minutes, add remaining sauce and tofu. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
