Recipe(tried): Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICHES

We like Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches for a mini-meal. Here's how we do it:

sourdough bread, sliced
grainy mustard
sliced deli ham
arugula*
red onion
sliced deli Swiss cheese

Take two slices of bread and spread with mustard.

On one slice of the bread layer ham, cheese, arugula, onion and more ham.

Place the other slice of bread on top. Take a brush and put a little bit of extra virgin olive oil on the outside of the bread.

My favorite way to cook it is on the little gas grill we have in the back yard. But we have also used the George Foreman grill or a pan on the stove top.

*We've substituted fresh spinach leaves for arugula if we didn't have any.
