Ham and Cheese Pinwheels
Source: rec.food.cooking/Becca
The last time I made these, I was almost out of Dijon mustard. I added a little dry mustard, and I thought it tasted great. Everyone seems to enjoy these things.
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup chopped almonds, toasted
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 small can chopped black olives
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 teaspoon dried, sweet basil
8-10 flour tortillas
1 pound thinly sliced ham
Blend cheese with almonds, green onions, olives, mustard, garlic, dill weed and basil. Spread cheese mixture on one side of each flour tortilla. Top with ham slices. Roll tightly, sealing edges. Cover and refrigerate until ready to eat. Cut into pinwheels and serve. Can be made a couple of days in advance.
To toast almonds: Spread in shallow pan on a cookie sheet. Toast at 350 degrees F. about 10 minutes, stirring once or twice until lightly browned; cool.
