MAN IN THE MOON PIE

one 9-inch unbaked pie shell
1 (6 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 corn syrup
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Garnish:
whipped topping
1/4 cup melted chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts evenly over pie shell.

Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla and beat well. Pour into crust.

Bake 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.

Cool and serve with garnish if desired. Keep in refrigerator.
