The Original Fantasy Fudge recipe is on the back of the Marshmellow Cream Jar. It has always called for 12 ounces of semi-sweet morsels (chocolate chips) till this year.
Now the recipe calls for Baker's Chocolate squares. I disregarded that part of the recipe and did the way I've always done it.
Fantasy Fudge
3 Cups Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 sticks of Butter (don't substitute)
1 (5 oz.) can evaported milk (NOT sweetened Cond.)
STIR CONSTANTLY IN A 3 QT. PAN OVER M-MH HEAT TILL CANDY THERMOMETER READS 234* OR IT HAS BOILED FOR 4 MINUTES.
REMOVE FROM HEAT STIR IN 12 oz. Bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and sm. jar of marshmellow cream till all one color.
ADD: 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (if desired)
stir in thoroughly.
Pour into a foil line 13"X8", or 9" pan.
Let set up for four hours at room temp.
Store in air tight container, but keep at room temp.
PERFECT EVERYTIME!
